Located adjacent to Ala Moana Shopping Center and steps away from the Hawaii Convention Center, the Ala Moana Hotel by Mantra is one of Honolulu’s landmark hotels. Bright Light Digital was selected through a competitive bid process to install three new digital signs on the ground floor in addition to replacing the hotel’s push pin bulletin board on the second floor with a new digital sign.
The ground floor included two Samsung 48″ displays installed on two columns at the front desk and one Samsung 55″ display installed on the wall outside of the Rumours Nightclub. On the second floor a 55″ Samsung display was mounted portrait format and enclosed in a custom wooden frame. The content on the ground floor displays includes ads promoting the hotel’s restaurants and activities, while the second floor display highlights the day’s events being held in the various meeting and ballrooms in the hotel together with ads.
The software that Bright Light Digital used for this project allowed the hotel staff to upload ads and event calendar content through their own desktop computers, laptops or mobile devices. Events can be updated in real-time and pushed to the display within minutes.
