Just steps away from Waikiki Beach, the Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel recently installed new elevator call systems in their lobby and ground level floors. With this new technology came challenges in the form of hotel guests not knowing how to call the elevators to get to their floors. After a competitive bidding process, Bright Light Digital was contracted to install new 10.1″ digital signage displays on both levels directly above the elevator call systems. The Android-based displays come with a Power over Ethernet (PoE) option and are also wireless, giving clients the ability to push content remotely from any computer or mobile device. The displays feature a looping video in English and Japanese that provides instructions to hotel guests on how to use their fobs to access the elevators.
