Hawaii Island Airport Restaurants Invest in Digital Menu Boards

One of Hawaii’s leading food and beverage concessionaires, Centerplate, enlisted the assistance of Bright Light Digital to procure, install and manage new digital menu boards at their restaurants at the Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport at Keahole and Hilo International Airport on Hawaii Island. Bright Light Digital installed a total of ten industrial-grade digital menu boards at the four restaurants — six at the Laniakea Grill restaurants at Kona and four at the Uncle Miles and Maxxwell’s Landing restaurants at Hilo. Each menu board is powered by a media player with digital signage software that has the ability to update and replace content remotely from a desktop computer, tablet or smartphone. In addition, Bright Light is providing content management services for Centerplate as well as an all-in-one integrated cellular-based WiFi router at each restaurant, eliminating the need for having to rely on on-premise Internet services. Next time you’re at the Kona or Hilo airports, remember to stop by the Laniakea Grill, Maxxwell’s Landing or Uncle Miles restaurants and order something off of their new digital menu boards before your flight.
